Gamify Your Data

No Video Provided

Students and teachers share data in a worldwide scavenger hunt using the Unity platform. Use data collected for NASA Globe, Smithsonian life in one cubic foot and more. Meet three UN SDGS while gaming globally. hi tech & lo tech welcome. Let's play!

WRUS Raptors

This gamified global data share is laligned with NGSS standards And UN Sustainable development goals.

Share information about your area with other schools in an interactive game that plays like a hybrid of virtual geocaching, Pokemon go and a good old fashioned scavenger hunt. Collaborate with other schools to find global patterns in data from the atmosphere, the hydrosphere, the lithosphere and the biosphere. Explore human impact in the anthropocene and get inspired to create action projects. Record game progress on a global leader board, create multicultural, chat enabled avatars, interact with non player characters who pose challenges and riddles, open "quest chests" for useful tools, badges and new quests. Level up. Players can design challenges using their data or data sets input by other groups.

Featuring privacy settings and teacher/parental controls, block and report features and attempting to go easy on your battery if we can.

The game will evolve and expand as more classes and schools share data, innovate quests, riddles and challenges, partner, compete and identify patterns in global cycles, biodiversity and human impact, with the ultimate goal of inspiring collaborative action projects around the globe to build a more sustainable future.

Teachers and students can upload data they have been collecting for projects such as NASA globe

High tech and Lo tech data collection methods welcome

Water quality data: smart buoys, colorimetry analysis, salinity refractors, "quick tab" assays, DO titrations, vernier probes...

Air quality/weather data: NASA Aeropod with a kestrel air column profiler equipped for CO2, moisture, altitude, wind direction and speed mounted on a delta kite, or same kestrel unit mounted on a weather balloon, school weather station data collected for weather bug https://weather.weatherbug.com/

Measurements of ground level ozone etc

Geoscience image data: Landsat or other satellite images of school or local areas, GIS tools with data layers, aerokat image data NIR and Infrared cameras carried on a delta kite.
