1.Addressing the problem:

Deficit of biodiversity

Difficult access to the information about the migration route of migratory animals

Lack of information provided to the population

Low moral conscience of the general pubic

2. Migratory animals in Macedonia we have solutions about:

• Egyptian vulture (Neophron percnopterus)

Location in Macedonia- rocky areas of Demir Kapija

Statistics: 1999- 120 pairs, 2007- 30 pairs, 2012- 22, last information- 1 pair

In 1993, poisoning of the vulture in Negotino

In 2013, the vulture’s nest was destroyed and replaced with an architectural building

Expected to be completely extinct from the region of Demir Kapija in the following years

• European eel (Anguilla anguilla)

Location in Macedonia - Lake Ohrid

Only female eels remained in Lake Ohrid

Critically endangered

They migrate from Ohrid Lake to Adriatic Sea

Problems:

• Building dams on rivers where eels migrate
• Dirty river basins

Developing a web site:

• That provides general information to the public about the movement of migratory species
• That helps scientists track migratory animals

Developing a mobile game:

• That in a fun and easy way will raise ecological awareness

• An app that will provide information about location of the habitats, migratory paths, location of the obstacles, food resources
• Maps used to track their migration using GPS devices

• Putting a stop to the building of dams and other infrastructural objects near the habitats of our species

• Cleaning out the garbage and the obstacles from the river basins
