The future is now

Short description: We are a team of 5 young students, and we are here to inform you about how tobacco influences people’s lives. We made a video in which we represent you the problem, and we end things with our solution which we describe with a speech.

Choosing the lesser of the two evils

There are approximately 1.1 billion people in the world that are addicted to smoking. It is predicted that by the year 2025 the number will increase up from 1.5 to 1.9 billion. Smoking increases a person's health risks and it is proven to have many harmful effects. It also harms many body organs, causing different diseases. For example lung cancer. Smoking causes more than 4 in 5 cases of lung cancer and about 90% of all lung cancer deaths. As we know, smokers are divided into passive and active smokers. Passive smoking also kills. Slowly but reliably. Passive smokers, are people who didn’t choose to smoke. A passive smoker can be a 5 year old child, but they didn’t really have a choice did they? The smoke affects them almost in the same way as it does for the active smokers. Many active smokers are not even aware how it affects people near them, or just choose to ignore it, but they automatically make the decision, whether to smoke or not, for them. So is your child a passive smoker? A research has shown that kids, in comparison to adults, breathe more air per body weight which of course means more cigarette smoke.

The biggest problem of smoking tobacco is the inhalation of its harmfull substances which are not found in an electric cigarette. So the cigarettes are lit and they burn and the smoke is inhaled by the user. As for the electric cigarette, you basically inhale water steam with different aromas. So imagine when you are sick and you have a cold, you can use a nose inhaler to open up your breathing cells. It's the same. Of course the content or the liquid in the electronic cigarette needs to be lab approved, so the most basic rule of vaping, is never to buy liquid that is not scientifically proved.

Many people have tried to stop smoking, but they always came back to it, because smoking is a strong addiction and it is a habit which is very hard to break.

There are many reasons why people start smoking. For example teens do it, because they see their relatives, parents, even their friends doing it and they feel the need, or the pressure to be accepted and grown up.

As for the adults, they start smoking for other reasons, for example stress and different pressures because of economical and personal problems, so in a way, it relaxes them.

Many people start smoking in their teenage years, because as I said, it makes them feel all grown up and as they get older it just becomes a habit and they eventually don’t even think about it. They just smoke.

So because the electric cigarette is relatively new, many smokers just don’t believe in it but so far, no scientific study has given any solid proof that vaping can have life-threatening consequences like smoking. As a matter of fact a group of highly qualified scientists and researchers say that electronic cigarettes are at least 95 percent safer than tobacco cigarettes. The report also recognizes their potential as a viable approach to quitting smoking. So basically it is not just a better alternative for a cigarette, but it also brings you closer to a life without smoking.

We all know the future awaits behind the corner, and it is just a matter of time when it will be affordable to travel to space. So it’s obvious that you have to be suitable for different conditions. For example being in shape is needed, and you’re not supposed to have heart problems, lung problems and so on.. So for the future generations, electric cigarette is the answer.
