Our Air, Our Life.

smart machine can detect the carbon on our air and then provide a result that tell if the air are populated or not

Live Smart

An integrated system that contains a sensor to measure the concentration of harmful carbon dioxide, linked with an application on the iPhone and Android and connected to a server through a web system to collect and analyze the recorded data, which makes it possible to give important advices about the user area whether is it good to live in or not. The application has an ability to issue a warning in case of danger to Human health, while keeping all the data recorded for analysis and providing important information addressed to governments ,competent authorities, individuals and researchers.

-----------------

Introduction

After research and study the use of technologies to transform the life we live into a smart life that reduces the risk of environmental pollution and guide society to the way to get rid of harmful and give appropriate solutions that help us to live in a healthy environment.

Therefore, we have built an application for smart phones that works with a sense of measuring the carbon dioxide in the user area and save them in the databases for analysis, treatment and use of government agencies and specialists and individuals and provide solutions and support decision-making.

Problem

NASA conducts periodic tests to measure carbon dioxide in the air over the globe and at different times. NASA measurements of the air ratio are no doubt accurate. But they are general. In China, carbon dioxide is 545 ppm in some days, and it was done by Dr. Chan Su-yin of the University of Hong Kong, This is a high and dangerous percentage. Where the exposure of a higher than 1000 parts per million over two hours may put you at risk, and the difference in the percentage of carbon dioxide varies from place to place, since the car in which the smoker's owner, the percentage of carbon dioxide is higher than outside the car, and so on for anything And the environment that surrounds it.

We know that in the Middle East there is a region full of chemical plants and our factories are not environmentally friendly and there are no penalties for companies. In Europe, governments monitor factory fumes and car exhausts and compare carbon dioxide emitted from them where sanctions are applied if the permitted rate is exceeded daily or in a single operation, so we see recently the proliferation of environmentally friendly cars and hybrid engines. Therefore, we started to create anapplication to monitor the CO 2 ratio self-reliably through a sensor that calculates the CO 2 ratio and compares it with the database in the application imported from tests conducted by NASA and Western universities of the percentage that they believe constitutes a risk to human health.

The Idea

The user gives the sensor an order to calculate the carbon dioxide ratio, then the value appear in different colors according to the degree of severity. The application give the user a massage about the areawhich is it good to live in or not.

Project Objective

1- Increase people's awareness about global warming and the dangers of carbon dioxide.

2- Create more accurate statistical database, which will be followed by decisions that will help government organizations and individuals.

3- Contributing to afforestation of the environment. And the danger of cutting trees.

4- Support for environmentally friendly projects.

Motivation

1. Absence of spontaneous spot measurements of carbon dioxide.

2. The importance of purity of air surrounding the environment of chemical impurities.

3. The dangers of the spread of carbon dioxide to human health and the environment.

4. Availability of tools, scientific knowledge and technical capacity.

5. Availability of system-related data for scientific comparisons and logical calculations.

Target User

Meteorological and Environmental Organizations, Municipal Development Authorities, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Commerce and Industry and individuals.

Analysis

1 - We started by studying the impact of carbon dioxide on the environment

2 - Find out the percentage of environmental pollution of carbon dioxide

3 Trying to know the ways to resist the environmental pollution of carbon dioxide

4. We have seen NASA's sources and measurements of carbon dioxide over the past decades

5 - We have studied the research of plant treatment of pollution to propose solutions to resist environmental pollution because of carbon dioxide

Obstacles and difficulties

1. Lack of carbon dioxide data in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

2. The difficulty of obtaining accurate information and statistics to reduce the high rates of CO 2 by afforestation.

3. Integrate several technical platforms to create an integrated project.

4. It is not possible to provide a sensitive piece of CO2 to calculate the percentage of carbon dioxide, which is replaced by a light sensor to simulate the idea temporarily.

Technology Used

Arduino, ASP.NET, Java, MVC5, Swift

Similar systems

The application calculates the percentage of carbon dioxide released by the user based on several factors used in inaccurate proportions

My CO2 Calculate

Change CO2 Fit

The application measures the distance traveled by bike, car or walk and measures the carbon dioxide ratio of the vehicle and the measurements are based on previous values, not accurate and instantaneous

Flowchart

Future objectives

More than one property will be added in the future. The first of these is a decision support system, which helps the user avoid the problem of CO 2 in the area where the test was conducted through so-called "plant treatment for pollution". Where the system gives the user suggestions on how to fight carbon dioxide through the number of trees or plants that absorb the carbon dioxide found in that region.
