Explanation

SpaceJam Team is proud to introduce Planeidoscope as an answer to the NASA Live Smart challenge.

Planeidoscope is a cloud based platform that allows the users to have complete, free and refined data about the environment pollution all around the world.

The platform uses not only the available data from institutions but receives data from all the devices connected to the cloud: in this way, all the developers are able to use their own sensors and share new data for all the community.

Planeidoscope provides even its own sensor kit, a new tool usable in many ways: the same device can be easily configurated to be wearable or to be mounted on a vehicle.

Planeidoscope has three different targets:

  1. Consumer; using the web and mobile application that provide all the refined data in a graphical and easy-to-read way. Users can choose the best location for tourism purposes or just be aware of the place where they are
  2. Researcher; thanks to our open cloud server, all the users can connect their own devices as weather stations or robots configured with environmental sensors, leaving the limit up to the needs of researchers, increasing in this way the raw available data to all the community
  3. Business area; using a envisioned interface, institutions could access to more refined data in order to improve their actions to fight environmental pollution and to directly inform other users of their activity.

Thanks to its gamification characteristic, Planeidoscope becomes easy to use and let users collect points to climb up the so called “PlanedoLadder” getting rewards.

Based on their rank, users could receive benefits from the application: the more information they upload to our server, the more credits they receive from the platform.

By creating a net all around the world, Planeidoscope makes its users be the main protagonists of the research development since its gamification program is planned to recognize the effort from users to this specific research area and let them increase their own environment pollution awareness.
