StarDust has received the following awards and nominations. Way to go!
The Stardust team, within the NASA’s Space Apps Challenge, created a fantastic solution to help rebuilding places affected by wars or natural disasters, the VR Tree platform.
With an intensive use of virtual reality (VR) the platform gathers a wide range of data base, virtually recreating the place to be rebuilt.
The most surprising asset is the interactive potential of the platform, owing to the fact that the locals and volunteers from all fields can collaborate to create sustainable solutions for the rebuilding process.
VRTREE's OVERVIEW
We are the VR TREE and through virtual reality we will change reality. We built a collaborative platform in which the population of war regions or the ones suffering from natural disasters can contribute with the rebuilding process of their homes. We promote the integration of people with existing initiatives, such as Doctors without Borders, Engineers without Borders, Architects for Humanity, among others.
For example, let’s see the case of Aleppo, in Syria: In receiving the demands of the population the architect, urbanist or any other professional in any part of the world can contribute with ideas, with the project or even in the execution of the program, after the population’s approval of the best solutions. The virtual reality can contribute with all of this, connecting the locals to the avatars of the specialists who live in distant places.
In the rebuilding process we will have the participation of enterprises that want to promote their brands integrated with the people who want to help the cause voluntarily.
Our business model includes the creation of an international bank account that will receive donations from any person throughout the globe through encrypted currency (blockchain), supported by TransferWise and Husky, in the most convenient currency for them, paying only a small transfer rate.
Never before in history have we had such a broad proposal, being not only collaborative but also online, using NASA’s database along with other open sources to support the decisions of the project. Our solution is even aligned with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals, focusing on goals: 9, 11, 16 and 17.
We will be NASA’s tool to colonize Mars! Together we can bring peace and prosperity to the galaxy! Jovian Salut.
