In order to raise awareness about air pollution, our aim is to encourage people, in a creative and innovate way, to get notice about the contamination levels they're daily exposed. We have created an app that compile data of contaminating susbstances emited in our cities, collected by sensors located in phone cases and t-shirts, that change its color according to the contamination levels, being a wearable alarm you can take with you.
All the information collected by the wearable is send to an app that analyzes and shows it to the user with a tool called "pollumeter", which shows the pollution level the user is exposed in a particular moment. More over, the app can calculate the users carbon foot print according to their daily activities (like using public transportation instead of driving) and gives them advises of how to reduce it with a goals and achievements, stablishing a score for each user based on their daily activities and comparing it with thier friends score.
In addition the app helps to create a new pollution data base in situ, in order to compile pollution data collected by all the users, associationg it to GPS location and time, information NASA and other organizations could use to make environmental studies for different pourposes, like ecological development plans, medical and ocupational health studies, and even vulcanological emissions.
