An initiative to promote roof top farming by analyzing the location statistics and helping everyone.
Urban farming!!! A terrm, very commonly read and heard about, but more read than done. The major factor that pulls us back from practising it is the lack of factors that could bring in interest and motivation. What if our balcony gardening could yield monetary benefits out of it, that could sound more pleasing.
Hence our project aims at building an initiative wherein an online grocery store tries to bring awareness in a gated community of apartments, encouraging them to implement balcony/rooftop gardening and linking them to online markets where the produce after the requirements ar home could be sold and gained profit
We intend to build an app, where the user when choosing a particular regional location, the app suggests the seasonal crops that could be effectively grown in that location. If the user chooses to grow that particular crop, then the user would be presented with a task list of the steps to be taken to do the same. Reminder for the required actions would be sent during the appropriate times.
After all the actions are being done, the produce is ready to be sold, the app would link the user to the online market, notifying the online grocery store to pick the produce.
This would not only give a profit to the users, but also support a social cause trying to increase sustainabilty, more quality food, and ofcourse improving air quality
