Space Apps Challenge 2017

We are Armenian team "Kenats Tsar" (The tree of life). The meaning of our team's name is associated with a mystic tree in Armenian mythology which represents our solar system model. It has 12 branches, each branch has 30 apples, one half of each apple is black, the next half is white. Our slogan is the Latin quote "Per aspera ad astra" which in our case literally means "through the thorns to stars". As professionals built Titanic and Noah's Ark was built by enthusiasts, we didn't afraid to accept the challenge from NASA and we represent ourselves with our project which is called "TRAPPIST 1 AR". TRAPPIST 1 is a new discovered planetary system. We created mobile application which visually simulates Trappist One with Augmented Reality. We used NASA data for additional information about each planet. We believe our project could be useful for students and ethusiasts, who is interested in new discovored planetary system and the learning process would be much quicker if everybody could see it visually on their tables using simple markers and smartphone.
