Aside from reoccurring visits with your clinician back home on earth, within the app astronauts will have the option to fill out a daily survey that will ask them a range of questions regarding their emotional and mental state at the moment. As the days and weeks progress we will start to provide key words in each survey that will expand the astronauts emotional intelligence in describing how they are feeling. This will help clinicians in not getting monotonous answers from their clients but also new ways of coping with distressing feelings.
The other option for the day is to write a daily journal entry which allows a double sided mirror for the Clinician or AI to see where your current frame of mind is at (should you provide him/her with that information).
AstroMind algorithms running in the background will be monitoring what time you open the app, how long you spend on each question, and will populate new questions everyday. You will never see the same questions twice.
-In the diary we’ll be using an algorithm that scans for word choice and helping to notice signs of a shift in emotional or mental health and provide the client with a direct line to a set of protocols from a clinician on emergency protocols to alert the crew if there are signs of mental health deterioration on board providing positive ways of de escalating the situation.
