Basically the box-storage is a technique that can make you store a lot of equipment underground. As shown in the previous photo, the grid is about 1x1m for each box. And each box has a handle that you can move it up and there are a lot of mechanisms to hold it in place (as shown in this photo, the forklift mechanism or blades that lock it in place and retract when you step on them)

We have also designed the dining table to be a ping pong table. Also to utilize space, the chairs can be retracted under the table. Examples for multi-use furniture are numerous.

Funiture can be used for multiple uses. For example, the bed and staris can be used as storage cabinets as well.

First of all, we tried making the dome two floors, one is for living and the other is for sleeping. It proved insufficient, however, because there is no place for storage.

Then we came up with a great idea, which is we can divide the dome in three section, each section has its own floor. Ground floor is for the common area, socializing, laboratory and working out. The second section is a semi private floor for the dining area and watching tv.

The third floor is the private floor, where each can have his/her own privacy in his/her her own room.

Also betweeen the first and the sercond floor is the boxes-storage area.
