Space Apps Challenge 2017

Senegal is suffering from poor waste management, which is causing people to live in environmental insecurity. As they have no notion of selective sorting , all waste generated is lost.
As a solution to that, our team, represented by Alioune Badara Mbengue, a 19 years old senegalese entrepreneur and his colleague Papa El Hadji Mandiaye Gningue a " Tech Artist " presents Mbal-IT, the intelligent waste bin that detects the presence of users and tells them, by literally speaking in local languages, how to sorte their waste. We also collect data which allow waste agents to have a better view and understanding of the situation.
