A game that uses NASA datasets to improve communication between elders and young people while spreading Inupiaq traditional culture, as well as promoting collecting data in an entertaining way.
We were attracted to this challenge because it's all about preserving an endangered culture. We used NASA data sets such as the GIBS, ASF, the Inupiaq Language Resources and the Arctic Sea Ice Freeboard and Thickness resources. The most challenging thing was to work in a team all together and finding solutions to a problem we never thought about. Our solution was a unique game that allows users to keep the Elders' traditions.
