Where is the water!?
Africa needs water to survive, and from then on to the rest of the world

Underground water is a very useful resource, however locating such water can be challenging. Our solution is a WebApp that informs of the nearest highest concentrated water aquifer while providing various other details for a more strategic perspective on the extraction and utilization of said water. We focus on Africa because of its dire water situation, and improving those aspects would be a great step forward for the world as a whole.
Our resources included Nasa GRACE undeground water data and data from the British Geological Survey. The Google Maps API docs were also utilized to provide an intuitive interface in the WebApp. For interactivity and app state a custom state-driven library, LCES, was heavily utilized throughout development.
A great challenge was to find reliable and readily useful data to provide for the user, another challenge was efficiently organizing the data in such a way that it is efficiently provided for the user with minimal strain on the user and server especially.
