Space Apps Challenge 2017

We are a team of four University students. We are studying at METU. We made a project about preventing wildfires. We made lots of research, and found out that our project is possible using todays technology but no similar project is using at present. We planned to design a UAV which has thermal camera and mobile base station. Using thermal camera information, we are planned to do image processing and detect wildfires. And using our mobile antennas (which uses GSM frequency bands and long range) we will send emergency alerts. We also send information to our center. We planned a mobile application that neighborhood people can use, and in case of wildfires, they can use our apps to share photos and warn other people easily. At our center, we are also processing all data from our UAV's. We also add information to our app to warn people. In future, after we made our plans, we are also planning to use this system for other natural disasters such as flood and landslide.
