Every life is precious. Poor people and the people who face difficulties due to natural calamity should have the same facility and opportunity to save their life. The local authorities can be asked to use an app which will help them to save their people's life and will provide a better communication as well as can solve some other key issues on or before any natural calamity.
I am developing an app called 'Rahat' (Relief) through which a person can be rescued from anywhere in the world just by clicking 'rescue me' button. The location will be sent to the local registered rescue team which will help the rescue workers to approach directly to the place where they need without wasting their time in searching.
Lives of pregnant ladies and newborn babies can be saved by providing them minimum initial service package during the flood and priority to rescue since during the flood there are numbers of pregnant ladies and especially newborn babies died in 2013 Bihar flood. Taking into consideration that there are always some people in every locality who wants to volunteerly help others either by providing some place or by food or by clothes. In those cases, the children can get a place to continue their study, a daughter or mother or any lady get some place to feel comfortable and not to be in a camp where life is almost like a hell. For this we need better communication among the communities. For better service and low casualty, communication needs to be better. Victims, rescue workers, and volunteers will have a single platform for communication which is essential during any natural calamity.
On-choice alert system is one of the key feature of the app. People will get alerted on their phone in case of any upcoming disaster. Nowcast and forecast feature is also an unique feature of this app. User inputs, water level graph and wise routes are the other key feature of this app including tourist corner.
